TERM & CONDITION
1. The Event
• Microsoft Excel World Championship : Indonesian 2025 (hereinafter – MEWC Indonesia 2025) is an Excel based esports tournament for Indonesian residents and citizens. The Tournament will provide 2 categories : BUMN EXCEL ESPORTS SEASON & PRO COLLEGIATE ESPORTS SEASON, The Tournament Format will have 3 battles in each category and 1 of Wildcard Qualifier, followed by Playoff and grand final (top 8 players head-to-head).
• The Event is organized by PT Pos Properti Indonesia in collaboration with the Financial Modelling World Cup (hereinafter – POSPRO X FMWC).
2. The Participants of MEWC Indonesia 2025 is open to any at least 18 year old Indonesian residents or citizens who are grouped into two categories:
• Pro & Collegiate Esports Season : open for all.
• State Owned Enterprise (BUMN) Esports Season: open to delegation from state-owned enterprise staff. Each delegation must include a minimum of 5 participants.
3. MEWC Indonesia : Tasks
• Each round of the Competition will provide one Task consisting of a range of problem-solving questions solvable with Microsoft Excel.
• Each Task will include several Questions that the Participants will have to provide answers for.
• The complexity of the Questions will vary, with more complex questions awarding more points if answered correctly.
• All the Questions will be formulated in such a way as to provide fully automated objective grading.
• It is expected that the Question format will be multiple choice and “number type-in”. The organizers reserve an option to use other Question formats if deemed necessary.
• No answers will be in the form of an essay.
• The Tasks will be varied in topics; however, all the Tasks will be solvable by a general MS Excel user. Solving the Tasks will require knowledge of Excel functions, data management skills and logical thinking. The Tasks will test participant’s abilities to use MS Excel techniques to solve out-of-the-box problems. The Tasks will not require specific knowledge of finance, engineering, statistics, or other scientific disciplines.
• The Tasks will be structured in such a way that the users of older versions of MS Excel (2010 and up) should be able to complete them.
• To correctly solve the Tasks, Participants will need to answer the Questions, produce, and submit their files.
• Participants may be provided a basis for the Excel model, or the models will be required to be produced from scratch.
• Model formatting and style will not be judged.
• Sample Tasks and previous years’ Tasks are available on the FMWC website and can be purchased separately.
4. Competition Format
• The Tournament Consists of 2 Category BUMN ESPORTS SEASON & PRO COLLEGIATE ESPORTS SEASON.
• The tournament starts with 3 Battles of qualification rounds and 1 last chance qualifier battle (Wildcard Qualifier) followed by Playoff rounds and Grand Final round which will be conducted in-person at Point Arena Jakarta, Indonesia.
• All the players willing to participate in MEWC Indonesia 2025, need to register for the tournament (purchase the ticket).
5. Qualification Round
• To provide fair ground for selecting the participants to take part in the final rounds of the tournament, qualification rounds will be arranged on

BATTLE 1 → April 24th 2025
BATTLE 2 → May 29th 2025
BATTLE 3 → Jul 31st 2025
Wildcard Qualifier (Last chance qualifier) → Aug 28th 2025
PRO & COLLEGIATE ESPORTS SEASON :
BATTLE 1 → April 25th 2025
BATTLE 2 → May 29th 2025
BATTLE 3 → Aug 2nd 2025
Wildcard Qualifier (Last chance qualifier) → Aug 31st 2025
• All of the qualifier phases will be hosted online.
• The Qualification Round will not be broadcasted.
• Each Participant is invited to log in to the Competition on the examination platform in advance.
• The top 2 in each battle of each category (BUMN Esports Season & Pro Collegiate Esports Season) will be chosen to participate in the next round (Playoff round)
The Period considers:
• Downloading all relevant Tasks
• Reading and analysing the Tasks
• Creation of models
• Completing the relevant answers for Tasks
• Submitting the answers
• Uploading the model
6. All participants are eligible to register for the next battle, provided they did not finish in 1st or 2nd place (TOP 2) in the previous battle.
7. Playoff Round (In-person)
• The Playoff Round will start at 14.00 WIB (GMT+7), on September 27th 2025, in the Point Arena Jakarta, Indonesia.
• The Playoff Round consists of 16 players (best 8 players from each category selected based on top 2 of each from the Qualifier battle).
• There will be 2 rounds within the Playoff Round (1 round for each category).
8. The Top 4 Players in each category below will move Final Round :
– BUMN ESPORTS SEASON : Best 4 Players
– PRO & COLLEGIATE ESPORTS SEASON : Best 4 Players
9. Final Round (In-person)
• The Final Round will start at 16.00 WIB (GMT+7), on September 27th, in the Point Arena Jakarta, Indonesia.
• The Final Round consists of 8 players.
• There will be 1 round in the Final Round. The top three players will be crowned as the winner and the first winner.
10. MEWC Indonesia 2025 Dates
• The MEWC Indonesia 2025 will take place on the following dates:

11. Indonesia and World Rankings
MEWC Indonesia 2025 is a standalone competition that will not impact the Financial Modelling World Cup World Rankings or Ratings, nor any other competition held of a similar nature.
12. Participation Fee
• The Participation Fee (hereinafter – Fee) for the whole event should be paid upon registration. The Fee covers participation in the qualification rounds of the MEWC Indonesia 2025 as far as the Participant qualifies as well as provides access to the game task files for all MEWC Indonesia 2025 stages.
The Fee for each category:
• BUMN ESPORTS SEASON : IDR 5.000.000 for 5 Delegates
• PRO & COLLEGIATE ESPORT SEASON : IDR 160.000
• The organizers reserve the right to change the Fees anytime at the organizer’s sole discretion.
• The organizers reserve the right to decline all, or part of any Participation in any Competition entry requested.
• The Fee is not returned if participants did not actually take part in MEWC Indonesia 2025.
13. Prize Money
The prize fund is IDR 50.000.000 and is divided as follows:

• The organizers reserve the right to refuse the Prize Money pay-out if the Participant cannot confirm their identity by submitting photograph of a valid Indonesian ID document (only Prize Money recipients might be asked to confirm their identity).
• The organizers will contact the prize money recipients using the email address provided upon purchasing the participation ticket. If the participant ignores the communication attempts for 6 months after the end of the competition, organizers reserve the right to refuse the Prize Money pay-out.
• All necessary costs to Las Vegas i.e. Return Ticket, Accommodation, and meal will be at the discretion of the organizer. The First winner shall secure Visa approval at their own cost, and send their confirmation to the organizer for further arrangements (ticket and accommodation) by the organizer.
• All tax incurred due to the prize shall be borne by the winner. Changes in the Rules
• The Organizers have the right to change these Rules at their sole discretion.
